William A. Reiss of Montrose, Colorado, died December 14, 2020. He was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army and following Jungle and Airborne schools was assigned to Ft Ord California as aide-de-camp to General George Mabry. He served in Vietnam in 1968 as Captain in the 2nd Bn, 34th Armor, 25th Infantry Division. Following discharge in 1971 he worked as a banker eventually becoming president of the West Jefferson and Louis Joliet Banks in Joliet, Illinois. In 1994 he joined Edward Jones Investments as a financial advisor until retirement in 2011. He was active in several community organizations while serving as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and as a high school board member.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cynthia, 3 sons and 2 granddaughters. He was a life member of The Citadel Alumni Association.
