Stephen Charles Rudloff, Jr., 75, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired Senior Special Agent with SLED, died Friday morning at his residence.
His funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2023, in the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in the St. John’s Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Mission Fund, 112 E. Main St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
Mr. Rudloff was born November 11, 1947, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Stephen Charles Rudloff and Marion Maude Taylor Rudloff. He was a graduate of Berkeley High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The Citadel. Although Mr. Rudloff retired from SLED, the majority of his career was spent as a Lieutenant and District Supervisor for the South Carolina ABC Commission. He was also a US Army National Guard veteran of Vietnam. Mr. Rudloff was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and especially spending time with his family. He loved Berkeley County and history. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stephen “Bobby” Rudloff.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Schipmann Rudloff; a daughter, Brett R. Schindledecker and her husband, Jamie, of Moncks Corner; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Clarke Rudloff of St. Stephen; two grandchildren, Ali Ciccotto Grady and her husband, Tyler, and S. Bryce Singletary and his wife, Katie; and four great grandchildren, Cameron Grady, Mallory Grady, Harper Grady, and Rhett Singletary.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Roper Hospice and their staff, especially Yvonne, Willa, and Francine for the care and assistance they provided for Mr. Rudloff in his final days.
