Paul Efstration, 85, widower of Constance Melehes Efstration, died July 14, 2008. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charles and Catina Scuto Efstration. Mr. Efstration was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended the Citadel before being called to serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was owner of Charlie’s Steak House and a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Surviving are three daughters, Stevie Ann Klein, Kay Efstration and Caren Chitwood, all of Greenville; one son, Charles P. Efstration, II of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Lucille Efstration Ballas of Ponta Vedra Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Christopher Regan Klein, Nicholas Paul Klein, Charles Paul Efstration, III, Paul Efstration Chitwood, Dena Klein McGuire, Katie Efstration and Sara Efstration. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral with Father Tom Pistolis officiating. Burial will follow in Springwood Cemetery. The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary with the Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 406 North Academy St., Greenville, SC 29601, or the Salvation Army, 417 Rutherford St., Greenville, SC 29609.
