Eugene K. Weston, ’65
Eugene King Weston of Mullins passed away in Marion = after an extended
illness on December 22, 2012 at the age of sixty-nine. Born in Aynor = on
April 26, 1943, he was the son of the late William Stevenson and = Capitola
King Weston. Mr. Weston was unmarried at the time of his death. Mr. = Weston
grew up in Columbia and Murrells Inlet, attending Trinity Episcopal
Cathedral, Dreher High School and Camden Military Academy. He attended = The
Citadel and graduated with a bachelor of arts in 1965. After several = years
in teaching, Mr. Weston began a career in sales in which he remained = until
he was disabled in 2005. Surviving are his three children, Eugene, = Jr.
(Susan) of Sumter, Drew (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant, and Julie Weston = Daniels
(Roger) of Johns Island; three grandchildren, Amelia Weston, Isabelle = Weston
and Julia Daniels. Also surviving are four brothers, Steve (Judy) of = Irmo,
Carter (Sandra) and Robert (Elmira) of Columbia, and Richard (Jennifer) = of
Surfside Beach. His special and dear cousin, Eugenia Humphries (LeRoy) = of
Mullins also survives. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January = 19
at 4 p.m. at Kings Krest, the family home in Murrells Inlet. Mr. = Weston’s
ashes will be spread on the waters of his beloved Murrells Inlet. = Memorials
