CAPT Douglas E. Wertz, USN, Ret., ’78, completed a one-man voyage around the world in his sailboat Lone Gull. He started in June 2022 from Port Angeles in the Seattle, Wash., area and completed his voyage on July 6, 2023, by tying up at Port Angeles, where he photographed his boat tied up there.
