William Pippen Milgrom passed away surrounded by family at his home on
December 13, 2022, in Matthews, NC. William was born to Ruby Braswell and
Senator Henry Marriott Milgrom in Battleboro, NC on December 31, 1942.
William earned his Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, and God and Country Awards
while pursuing Scouting as a teenager. He was a 1961 graduate of Rocky Mount
Senior High School in Rocky Mount, NC, and held a BS (1965) in Business
Administration from The Citadel, Charleston, SC. He also had a Master of
Business Administration (1971) from Georgia State University.
William joined the U. S. Air Force and was commissioned as a Lieutenant. He was
stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Captain Milgrom
was decorated for meritorious service as a logistics staff officer at Wright-
Patterson. He was then stationed at Clark AB in a unit of the Pacific Air Forces in
the Philippines. William was also a Veteran of Vietnam.
William and Tondra lived in Atlanta, GA, Durham, NC, and Charlotte, NC during
their marriage. One of their favorite places was a summer home they purchased in
Southport, NC. They spent many weekends over the years with family and friends.
William was employed by Decision Support and ran his own business, Milgrom
Properties.
Surviving William is his son, Craig Marriott Milgrom, and wife Heather Moorman
Milgrom of Matthews, NC, and William’s daughter, Jenifer Milgrom McKendrick,
and her husband, Robert Patterson McKendrick IV of Marvin, NC., brother Brent
Marriott Milgrom Sr. and wife, Ann James and sister, Anne Arrington Kennedy
and husband, Mark, and brother-in-law Christian Heinrich Witzke and wife Betty
Weeks.
William was also blessed with five grandchildren; Jacob Tyler Belk, Caitlin Naomi
Belk, Robert Patterson McKendrick V, Ian Barber McKendrick, and Justin Brady
Mullis.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his wife, Tondra Lieb Witzke Milgrom.
A graveside service will be in the Spring of 2023 at the Battleboro, NC cemetery.
