SENECA, SC – William Clinton Marett, 89, of 200 Eagles View Dr. Seneca passed away April 21, 2006 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Dr. Marett was a native of Newry, S.C and was the son of the late Dr. William Clinton Marett and Alice Neely Marett. A graduate of Seneca High School in 1934 and attended The Citadel until 1938 and the Medical College of South Carolina and graduated in 1942. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Kappa medical fraternity. He served his residency in internal medicine and became board certified in aviation medicine. He was a fellow of the American College of Preventative Medicine and the Aerospace Medical Assoc. He was a veteran of 25 years in the U.S. Air Force as a flight surgeon. Later worked for the South Carolina State Board of Health for 10 years, and served as a Bureau of Adult Health Services. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Macauley Marett and a daughter, Jill M. Marett and a sister, Mary M. Warlick. Survivors: a daughter, Linda M. Disosway of Greensboro, Ga.; granddaughters, Allison D. McKnight of Ft. Worth, Tx., Jill M. Disosway and Taylor H. Disosway both of Atlanta, Ga.; great grandsons, Andrew F. McKnight and William T. McKnight, both of Ft. Worth, Tx.; sisters, Frances Hauser of Madison, Wi., Dorothy Rumble of Redlands, Ca. Memorial services for Dr. Marett will 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3 at Seneca Presbyterian with Rev. Sallie Fulton officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Seneca Presbyterian Church CE building fund, 115 W. South First St., Seneca, S.C. 29678 Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
