William Burnett Talbert, Jr., 84, of Piedmont, SC, husband of Jane Kramer, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Burnett Talbert, Sr. and Marie Witt Talbert.
Bill was a graduate of the Citadel and served in the United States Army. He was Corporate Safety Director at PYA/Monarch Sara Lee Corporation, retiring after 30 years of service. Bill was a longtime member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church where he was a deacon, a Sunday School teacher and a choir member.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Ann T. Waters (Allen) and Martha T. Hinson (Joey); one stepdaughter, Christina Lyons (Charles); one son, William Roy Talbert (Missy); nine grandchildren, Roy West Talbert, Mattie Catherine Talbert, Kyle Waters, Allie Waters, Mollie Waters, Caitlyn Petersen, Christian Hinson, Griffin Lyons and Becker Lyons; and his twin brother, James H. Talbert (Liane). He was predeceased by his first wife, Martha G. Talbert.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 1:45 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2016, in the Fellowship Hall of Sandy Springs Baptist Church, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 2 NHC Mauldin and Dr. Frederick Rogoff for their loving care.
