William “Bob” Robert Coskrey, Jr., 82, husband of Barbara Annette Parnell Coskrey, died Monday, September 26, 2022. The family will receive family and friends Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Bob was born in Charleston on February 11, 1940 to the late Christine Stuhr Coskrey and William Robert Coskrey, Sr.; a very special gift as he was born on his mother’s birthday. He graduated from Charleston High School, the College of Charleston and earned his Master’s Degree at The Citadel. Bob worked at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center for 32 years. After his retirement, he then returned to the state working at the Mental Health Center, retiring again after 15 years of dedicated service. There are many kind and wonderful things about Bob which could describe him. He was devoted to all of the clients in his career and the one thing that was at the top of the list was his care of all. It mattered not their life status. color or creed. Bob went far beyond what his position required. Additionally, he loved dogs and was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Clemson Tigers and the New York Yankees. Bob is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; son, Robert Michael (Rhonda) and their two sons, Shane and Zachary Zitnick. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
