Victor T. Frazier, ’86

Victor Frazier 51, of Bluffton and husband of Stephanie Frazier, died Friday, June 19, 2015 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island.

wake Services: 7 to 8 PM Friday, June 26th in the Sanctuary of Central Oak Grove Baptist Church, Hilton Head Island.

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Grace Community Church on Hilton Head Island. Burial will follow in Talbird Cemetery. The body will repose at the Church from 9:00AM until the hour of services, there will be no viewing after the eulogy.

Victor Tyrone Frazier, son of Joseph Driessen, Sr. and the late Charlene Frazier Driessen was born on January 28, 1964. He departed this life late Friday morning, June 19, 2015 at Hilton Head Regional Hospital, Hilton Head Island, SC.

Victor attended H.E. McCracken High School where he was a 1982 graduate. He continued his education at the Citadel, in Charleston, SC. He accepted Christ as his personal savior, was baptized and became a member of The Central Oak Grove Baptist Church. Victor was joined in Holy Matrimony to Stephanie Edwards. To this union three children were born.

Victor was known for his athletic abilities in football and basketball. He was inducted in the HE McCracken High School Hall of Fame (now known as Hilton Head High School) in September 2013. Other accomplishments: Beaufort County’s All State 1978-198; All Conference AA 1978-1981; AA All State 1981; Greenville Post all state team 1981 for Football. McCracken most valuable player 1980-1982, All Conference 1979-1982; All Conference 2A 1979-1982 for basketball ; the Citadel’s South Conference-Rookie of the Year 1982; Citadel’s Offensive Most Valuable Player 1984, and Honorable–mention All-American 1984. He was a member of Hilton Head High School’s Football Coaching staff for five seasons.

Victor leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved and loving wife Stephanie Frazier; five daughters: Shavonte Frazier of Jamaica Queens, NY, Jocelyn Frazier of Bluffton, SC, Shania Young, Lania, and Ania Frazier all of Hilton Head, SC. Three sons: Victor Frazier, Jr., Aaron Frazier, both of Bluffton, SC, and Tyrek Young of Hilton Head, SC; his father and step-mother, Joseph and Ruthie Driessen of St. Helena Island, SC; a sister Taynia (Richard)Leak of Hilton Head, SC, Two brothers; Ricardo Driessen of Hilton Head, SC and Joseph Driessen, Jr., of Duluth, GA. Three aunts: Rosalie Williams of Far Rockaway, NY, Eliza Mae Frazier of Jamaica Queens, NY, and Davidene Mays of Augusta, GA; two uncles Paul Frazier of Upper Marlboro, MD and David(Uline)Frazier, Sr. of Hilton Head, SC; his father-in-law: Wilbert Edwards of Palmetto, LA; a sister-in-law Alicia Edwards of Bluffton, SC; three brothers-in-law, Jason Edwards of Opelousas, LA, Christopher Edwards of Palmetto, LA, and Raymond Edwards of Lake Charles, LA.; The Family of Isaac Washington of Beaufort, SC, the family of Cyrus Bennett of Port Royal, SC; His employer of twenty-five years, Steve Gottfried, special cousins: Patricia Thomas, John Frazier, Sr., Joseph Mays, Jamal Frazier and Jason Frazier; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
