Thomas Palmer, 62, died at the Treasure Coast Hospices, March 31, 2006. Mr. Palmer was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 7, 1943 and was a resident of the Stuart are a for 20 years coming from Ft. Lauderdale. Mr. Palmer was a graduate of the Citadel-Class of 1965 and was a Lifetime Member for the Association of the Citadel Men. Mr. Palmer was an Air Force veteran and served in Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters. Prior to retirement, he was a pilot for Eastern Airlines for 18 years. He is survived by wife, Judith Palmer; daughters Jennifer Palmer of Georgia and Elizabeth Zabel and her husband David of Auburndale, Florida; cousin Mollie King of PA.; grandchildren Justin T. and Jacob N. Zabel of Auburndale, Florida; nephew Christopher Hagan of PA. and mother-inlaw Jean Heavlin of Stuart. Arrangements are under the direction of Veterans Cremation and Burial Society, Stuart.
