Andy Nave, 41, of Ringgold, GA passed away Sunday December 8, 2019. Andy was a resident of Ringgold for the past three years, and previously resided in Summerville, South Carolina for 10 years. He was a member of Rock Bridge Community Church in Ringgold where he served on the security team. Andy was a veteran of the USMC, serving in the Gulf War in both Turkey and Saudi Arabia. He loved being a Marine and was fiercely patriotic. His greatest loves were his family, friends and country. Andy was always joking and making others laugh. He was an avid Florida Gators fan, enjoyed barbecuing and loved entertaining. Andy received two Masters Degrees in Project Management and Business Administration from The Citadel. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Aimee Nave, daughters Katie and Emily, father Steve Nave of Fruitland Park, FL, mother Patti (Jeff) Young of Madison, GA, mother and father-in-law Josie and Tom Knitter of The Villages, FL, twin brother Adam (Allison) Nave and nieces Abby and Addie of Wildwood, FL, step-sister Dara Young of Austin, TX, brother-in-law Kevin (Tammy) Knitter and niece Madison and nephew Matthew of Wisconsin. Andy was preceded in death by his best friend of 13 years, his dog Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at Rock Bridge Church in Ringgold with Pastor J.C. Groves and Pastor Andrew Plisko officiating. The interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors provided by the USMC. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Rock Bridge Church in Ringgold. The family will receive friends 3-6 PM Thursday at Rock Bridge Church in Ringgold.
