Stephen Votral, 74, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully Friday, February 3, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of Georgann (Spevak) Votral for 45 years.Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Steve and Mary A. (Laszlo) Votral.Steve worked in and managed the family owned business, Votral’s Flowers. He worked in various businesses throughout the Lehigh Valley. He enjoyed driving and his favorite job was as a courier for a few different companies including his own business, Steve Votral, Inc. He was last employed by St. Luke’s Hospital as a driver/courier until retiring in 2016. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves in the 6th Battalion, 68th Armor, retiring after 10 years as a captain. He graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor’s degree in political science. He was a member of Soldiers for Life and Wreaths Across America, placing wreaths on veteran’s graves at Christmas.Steve was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was a history buff and avid reader, especially military history. He was a charter member of WWII Memorial in Washington, DC and the World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA. He loved trout fishing, going to the casino and playing with the grandchildren.Surviving with his wife Georgann are daughters, Gina Kutz, and husband Brian of Bethlehem and Lisa Hawkins, and husband Geoff of Norfolk, VA; and grandchildren Bryce, Hayley and Carson.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, February 10, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem, PA, followed by burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
