Entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2002, Scott Wilson Hall, husband of Kathleen Johnson Hall and retired Representative of New England Financial Services, residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Hall are invited to attend the funeral service of the former at the First (Scots) Presbyterian Church, Monday, September 30, 2002, at 3 o’clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will greet friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Sunday between 5 and 7 o’clock. Mr. Hall was born March 18, 1918, in Cadiz, Ky., son of John Noble Hall and Robbie Douglass Wilson Hall, raised in Hopkinsville, Ky. He was a 1939 graduate of the Citadel. He served in W.W.II as a Battalion Commander with 12th Armored Division. He retired as Lt. Col. in 1945. During his service, he received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart. He was in the Life Insurance Business and a Chartered Life Underwriter. Mr. Hall was a member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church and elder for many years. He was a past president of Charleston Kiwanis, past president of New England Society, and St. Andrews Society. A long time member of Star Gospel Mission Board of Directors, Charleston Bible Society, Twin Fin, Master Gardener, and Middleton Hunt Club. He was an advocate of and role model for the handicapped. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Scott W. Hall, Jr., and his wife, Claire, of Greenville, S.C.; three daughters, Kathleen Hall Ravenel and her husband, Dan, of Charleston, S.C.; Lucie Hall Maguire and her husband, Bobby, of Charleston, S.C.; Barbara Douglass Hall of Flat Rock, N.C.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
