Lt.Col. Robert Y. “Bob” Lehman, US Army, Retired 70 years of age, passed into The Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents Colonel and Mrs. B. Frederick Lehman, Falls Church, Virginia.
Bob was born in Richmond, Virginia on September 11, 1947 and was raised in Falls Church, Virginia. He was a graduate of George Mason High School, Falls Church, Virginia and The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. Upon his college graduation he began a 21 year career in the United States Army. Bob was a Mason and attended Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda, daughter Christie Lynn and her husband Steve Strawser, daughter Stacie Suzanne and her husband David Valerius. Bob was a loving “PopPop” to Trent and Tyler Strawser and Cole and Cade Valerius. He is also survived by his brother Bruce and his wife, Barbara Lehman, Falls Church, Virginia, and nephew James Lehman, Falls Church, Virginia.
Bob was a lifelong Washington “Redskins” fan and always enjoyed watching the Florida State “Seminoles” and the Tampa Bay “Rays”. His very favorite past time was playing golf with his friends. Bob was dearly loved and he always brought such joy and happiness to our family. He will live in our hearts forever.
