Robert P. Troy of Poway, CA, passed away peacefully into the loving embrace of Our Lord on August 1, 2016 after a 15 year battle with brain cancer. He was 62. Bob was a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps and served 8 years of active duty and 17 years in the Marine Corps Reserves. In his ministry work, he always had a wonderful smile, a deep love for Divine Mercy and our Blessed Mother and great compassion for the sick and dying. He will be remembered for his 2 favorite sayings – “Adios” means “to God” and “May God bless us all”. Bob is survived by his wife Janet, son James and daughter-in-law Jessica, daughter Deena and son-in-law Kevin. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and parishioners at St. Gabriel Church.
