Robert J. Koss, of Leesburg, FL died September 15, 2010. Mr. Koss graduated in 1951 from the Citadel after having been presented the John O. Wilson Ring award by his classmates and serving on the Regimental Staff. Mr. Koss served in Korea in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as an engineer and subsequently as 1st Lieutenant in the Florida Army National Guard. Mr. Koss retired as Production Manager from Dura-Stress Inc., a prestressed concrete company located in Lisbon, FL after 32 years of employment. He was also a member of Golden Gem cooperative of Central Florida Citrus Growers for over 20 years. He was very active in the community. Mr. Koss was a longtime member of the Eustis Elks Lodge and Past Exhalted Ruler. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg for over 50 years where he served as Usher, Special Minister of the Eucharist, and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Mr. Koss enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf and vacation retreats to the family mountain cabin in Northwest Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nita Mincey Koss, two sons, a daughter and 8 grandchildren. Tags: 1951
