Robert Gerhart Kirchhoff Computer Systems Analyst Robert Gerhart Kirchhoff, 71, a computer systems analyst for the Federal Communications Commission, died April 6 of pancreatic cancer at Hope House in Fort Myers, Fla. Mr. Kirchhoff worked for the FCC for 27 years until he retired in 2002. He lived in Chantilly from 1975 to 2002. Previously, he was at NASA in Florida, where he worked on the lunar module. He was born in Morgantown, W.Va., and graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, S.C. For 14 years, he served as an election officer in Fairfax County. His marriage to Norma Pace Kirchhoff ended in divorce. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Gummerson Kirchhoff of North Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters from his first marriage, Kathleen Elizabeth Kirchhoff Shankle of Centreville and Allison Marie Kirchhoff Stancliff of Bealeton; two brothers; and five granddaughters.
