Robert A. ‘Bob’ Millenbine, of Charleston, passed away on March 23, 2018, after a short illness. He was born on March 4, 1949 in Cherry Point, North Carolina. After he graduated from Beaufort High School in 1967, Bob attended The Citadel, where he graduated as a member of the Junior Sword Drill and the Class of ’71. Bob was a small business owner in Charleston and an avid supporter of The Citadel. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynne Grayson Millenbine, his daughter Stephanie Millenbine van der Horst and husband Erik, his two grandchildren Jackson Robert and Samantha Lynne van der Horst, his sister Jane Bawek and her husband John and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Evan and Mary Margaret Millenbine. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 28, 2018, after 6:00 PM, at the family’s residence. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to The Citadel Brigadier Foundation, 171 Moultrie St., North Charleston, 29420.
