Robert Arthur “Bob” Guillebeau, 88, of Albertville, Ala., died Aug. 23, 2019.
He was born in Augusta, Georgia the son of Otis Polk and Rebecca Guillebeau.
He was educated at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He is survived by his special friend, Bobbie Young; his son, Mike Guillebeau (Lynn); daughter, Cathy Parker; four granddaughters; one great granddaughter; two great grandsons.
Mr. Guillebeau was employed by Mitchell Grocery for 17 years as an accountant. Bob was a member of Albertville First Baptist Church and remained active with two local bridge clubs. He enjoyed writing poetry, was a competitive tennis player for many years and enjoyed leading people to the Lord. He stated that one of his greatest accomplishments was reading the Bible through 11 times.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Cannady and Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. “Say not in grief, ‘He is no more.’ But, live in thankfulness that he was.”
