Richard Brandon Crawford, of Chesterfield, Va., was born in Omaha, Neb., on September 4, 1969, and passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 in Miami, Fla. He graduated in 1987 from Donoho High School in Anniston, Ala., and The Citadel in 1991. Brandon began a 10-year service in the United States Army after enlisting in the 82nd Airborne. He graduated first in his Officers Candidate School (OCS), followed by Army Language School in Spanish, Army Intelligence School, Airborne and Jumpmaster schools, Ranger School and Special Forces Pre-qualification course. Brandon achieved the rank of Captain. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Army, Brandon transitioned into the private sector, joining Johnson & Johnson. During his 11 years with J&J, he held many distinctive roles including field sales trainer, national sales trainer, regional manager and most recently, regional business director for Mentor Worldwide. Throughout his career, Brandon earned the respect and admiration of his customers and colleagues within the healthcare industry. Brandon is survived by his wife, Cliona Walshe Crawford two daughters, Kathryn and Anna Crawford parents, Col. and Mrs. Crawford, (retired) brother, R. Crawford and many other friends and family across the globe. Visitation with family will occur from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rte. 10), N. Chesterfield, Va. 23234.
