Paul Andrew Tanoos, 40, of Terre Haute, Ind., passed away Sunday morning in Bloomington, Indiana. He was born August 5, 1979, in Terre Haute to Joe and Linda Tanoos. Paul graduated with an accounting degree from the Citadel and worked in Charleston, South Carolina, until he moved back to Terre Haute where he helped run the family-owned business, Tromp and Tread Boot Store. Paul was a dog lover and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking. He had a passion for music, especially for his favorite band, Wide Spread Panic. He loved working with his hands and had a talent for woodworking. He spent this last year as a finishing carpenter in Bloomington. “Paul will be missed by his friends, family, and coworkers. He was a loving, fun, protective soul.” Paul is survived by his parents, Joe and Linda Tanoos of Terre Haute, his brother Jim (Tricia), sister Lindsey (Gabe), nephews Michael, J.J., and Roman, two nieces Lucy and Flora, as well as his loving aunt, Rosemary T. Kasis. Due to the virus, private services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. George Orthodox Church or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
