Once you’ve submitted a prospective cadet’s Provisional Appointment, there are some things you can do over the next several years to make the process a smooth one.
- Alumni are encouraged to keep their contact information current with The Citadel Alumni Association at https://citadelalumni.org/user/.
- Prospective legacy cadets are encouraged to update their contact information, graduation year, continued interest in attending, or to be removed from consideration by emailing [email protected].
- The Office of Admissions maintains several resources on their website to assist Alumni and their provisional appointees with evaluating attending The Citadel, such as:
- Admissions requirements and application process
- Campus tour information
- “Inside the Gates” visits
- Cadet stories
- Parade schedule
- The Citadel Family Association is made up of parent volunteers who are always willing to answer questions, offer guidance and to navigate The Citadel experience as a parent. Their information is at https://www.citadel.edu/cfa/.
- Alumni clubs of The Citadel are active in many places and hold events throughout the year, which are open to prospective cadets and their families. Feel free to search for a local club and contact them for event information at https://citadelalumni.org/clubs/.
The Citadel Alumni Association offers competitive legacy scholarships for the children of CAA Life members. Additionally, The Citadel Foundation offers class scholarships and other individual scholarships which often give priority to legacy cadets. The Citadel’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is the first stop for researching these opportunities at https://www.citadel.edu/financial-aid.
