  • Ferriter's distinguished 35 year military career included command of IMCOM 2014, responsible for operation of all the Army bases worldwide with a $12B budget and 73,000 military and civilian employees.  His major military commands and assignments included Deputy Commander for Advising and Training, United States Forces-Iraq, OPERATION NEW DAWN, Iraq; Commanding General, United States Army Infantry Center and Fort Benning, GA; Commanding General United States Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, GA; Commandant, United States Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, GA; Deputy Commanding General (Operations), XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, NC; Deputy Commanding General (Operations), Multi-National Corps-Iraq, OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Iraq; and Regimental S-3 (Operations), 75th Ranger Regiment, Somalia during Operation Restore Hope. 
  • Ferriter's military awards include the Distinguished Service MedalDefense Superior Service Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Legion of Merit (with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Bronze Star Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal (with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters). 
  • On June 19, 2018, Ferriter was named president and CEO of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Columbus, Ohio.
