Chairman of Greenwood Mills, one of the nations largest privately-owned textile mills at the time, with operations in three states and four foreign countries, employing over 3,500 workers. He was a primary developer of the resort Island of Hilton Head, SC through his company, Greenwood Development. He was inducted into the S.C. Hall Of Fame in 1990, joining his father.
