Participants in, and survivors of, The Bataan Death March in which 650 American servicemen died in a seven day forced march conducted by the Japanese after they captured Corregidor in the Philippine Islands during WWII. Cothran died while being transported in a Japanese troopship to Japan in January 1945. Classified as a \War Crime\ due to the intense brutality displayed by the Japanese towards the prisoners,these 7 alum's are true American hero's! Info on the march here.
