Mickey Douglas Perrin, age 83, of Lexington, was joyfully welcomed to heaven on July 5, 2025 after a brief hospitalization. Mickey, son of Lenora and James Perrin and later stepson of H.D. Williams, was raised on a dairy farm in Villa Rica, GA, and was a graduate of Villa Rica High School.
Mickey graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC, where he was a standout player on both the football and baseball teams. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing of all kinds. Known for his sense of humor, never meeting a stranger and always being his uniquely authentic self, Mickey was well-loved by all who knew him.
During his long career in banking, Mickey served as president of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and the Country Club of Lexington. He was also an instructor at the Adult Education Center in Belton, SC. He later retired from Herndon Chevrolet and then devoted himself to his family and Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the choir and active in the men’s ministry.
Mickey was predeceased by his parents, Lenora Perrin Williams and James Perrin and stepfather, H.D. Williams. He is survived by beloved wife, Carol Perrin; brother, Dennis (Rachel) Perrin and sister, Teresa (Tommy) Sanders; daughters, Christy (Chris) Koon and Pam Carver; stepchildren, Allison (Rick) Sanford and Tripp (Allison) Leonard; grandchildren, Caleb Jacobs, Graham Jacobs, Luke Jacobs, Dorothy Jacobs, Emma Jacobs and Sara Perrero; step-grandchildren, Gray Spence, Rebecca Spence, Brice Leonard, and Hannah Leonard; great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Lando Jacobs; and step-great-grandson, Holden Spence.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 8 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 9 at 12 p.m. at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church in Lexington.
