Mike was a proud 1964 graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, which he attended on a full athletic scholarship, and Mike never gave up rooting for his Bulldogs. In 1977 Michael was inducted to the Media, Pennsylvania Old Timers Athletic Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in basketball. Golfing was his passion, and his A-Game was admired by many. Perhaps the Longest Drive award at many local golf tournaments is now again up for grabs. Always the consummate host and gentleman, Mike will be forever missed by the many friends and family he leaves behind. Mike’s sense of humor and story telling made all around him laugh and treasure being in his company. The family will be forever indebted to George Salerno, M.D., whose loving care gave us many more good days with our beloved Dad, husband, Pops, and friend.
