Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 15, 2008, Mae Martin Tassin, wife of Maxime Joseph Tassin. Residence, Charleston, SC. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Tuesday between five and seven o’clock. Burial will be private in St. James Episcopal Churchyard. Mrs. Tassin was born October 4, 1923, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of William Stockton Martin and Susan Pearl Harrington Martin. She was a graduate of Charleston Southern University and received her Masters Degree from The Citadel. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mrs. Tassin retired as a teacher from Porter Gaud School. She is survived by her husband of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Lauralyn T. Page and her husband James of Charleston, SC; one son, Kenneth Martin Tassin and his wife Nancy of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Richard Stockton Tassin, Jr., Kenneth Martin Tassin, Ross Harrington Chapman, Jacqueline Tassin and Joseph Tassin.
