Lynwood Mullins —LTC Lynwood S. Moons Mullins, USA, retired, of Blue Bell, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005 in Mercy suburban Hospital at the age of 62. —Born in St. Petersburg, Fla. on April 20, 1943, he was the son of the late William and Charlotte (LeVines) Mullins and was the husband of Linda (Kemp) Mullins. —LTC Mullins graduated from The Citadel in Charlotte, SC in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer for 22 years, retiring in 1987. During his career he served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor device. He served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division and earned the Combat Infantry Badge. In 1987, he began a new career with Lockheed and Martin as a Senior Systems Engineer. —In addition to his wife, LTC Mullins is survived by sons: Kevin, and Ryan (Nadiya); a daughter, Tiffany; a sister, Cheri Diggelmann (John); two brothers: Norman (Eleanor), and Robert (Linda); and his mother-in-law, June Kemp. —Relatives and friends are invited to attend Moons Life Celebration at Bethel Hill United Methodist Church, Skippack Pike (Rt. 73) and Bethel Rd., Friday, Sept. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery on Nov. 1 at 9 a.m. —In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynwoods memory may be sent to the Bethel Hill UMC, 2000 Bethel Rd., Lansdale, Pa. 19446 or to USO of PA and So. N.J., Terminal D., Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, Pa. 19153. —Arrangements are by the Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton.
