MECKSTROTH, Jr., Louis YORK, SC – Louis Herman Meckstroth, Jr., 56, of 2030 Fasana Road, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at his home. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel with Rev. Bey Grunder officiating. Burial will be private. A native of Lima, OH, Mr. Meckstroth was a son of the late Louis H. Meckstroth, Sr., and Joan Brockert Meckstroth of Indian Springs, OH. He was a 1972 graduate of The Citadel where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering. He was a self-employed seismic engineer and was a member of several engineering associations: ASHRAE, the International Code Council (ICC) and the Construction Specification Institute (CSI). He was the owner of Seismic Control and Isolation, Inc., of Charlotte. In addition to his mother, Mr. Meckstroth is survived by his wife, Nancy Smith Meckstroth of the home; his son, William Michael Meckstroth, of Clover, SC; his daughter, Nancy Katherine Meckstroth, of Knoxville, TN; his brother, Terry Meckstroth, of Wilmore, KY; and two sisters, Julie Miller of Lexington, KY and Lisa McKaine of Indian Springs. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 and other times at the home.
