Keele M. Goodwin, 40, of Greenwood entered into peaceful rest on Monday, December 17, 2018 at his home. Keele was the husband of Latasha Goodwin and the loving father of William Isaiah and Zoe Gabrielle. Keele was born in Greenwood on November 2, 1978 to Charles and Mary J. Goodwin. He was a graduate of AHS c/o 97. He attended Citadel on a full football scholarship.His time in Charleston, SC led him to meet his beautiful wife of 14 years. Keele’s professional career consisted of more than 10 years of service in banking, and he also served as the Greenwood County Auditor. Keele was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. Also a member of the Epsillon Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He was preceded in death by his maternal and fraternal grandparents and a brother, Carlos Goodwin. He is survived by his parents of Abbeville, SC; his loving wife and children of the home, a brother, Charles Henry Goodwin, Jr. ( Iguana); two sisters, Kimberly Goodwin of Abbeville and Vanessa Smith of Atlanta, GA; mother and father-in-law Sevoy (Brennie) Jeter, brothers -in-law, Rondey Peake; Sevoy (Shamanique); sister-in-law, Demetrice (Timothy) Clark; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, godchildren, a special son, Leroy Platt and a special daughter Karson Burton-Reeder; special caregivers Robert Tatum, Barbara Cartledge and therapist Linda Shaw. Services are 12 noon Friday, December 21 , 2018 at Long Cane AME Church. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Public viewing will be Thursday, December 20 2018 at the mortuary from 1-6pm fraternity hour will be at 7pm. The family is at the home. Professional Services by The Abbeville-White Mortuary.
