John William Willie Fischer, Jr., 79, of Savannah, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005 at Candler Hospital. He was born in Savannah, GA in 1926 to John William Sr. and Elizabeth Jaugstetter Fischer. He attended Marist School and graduated from Benedictine Military School and the Citadel. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the US Navy in the Pacific; and was in the occupation of Japan from September 2, 1945 – March 1946. He was retired from Derst Baking Company, having served as Administrative Vice President of the Company. He was a member of the German Heritage Society and the Landings Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Millie Fischer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Stradtman McClellan Fischer of Savannah, GA; two stepsons, S. Ken McDonald and his wife, Glenda of McDonough, GA, Patrick J. McClellan of Atlanta, GA; a stepdaughter, Nancy M. Saucier and her husband, John of St. Louis, Missouri; four step grandchildren, Amy E. and Katherine Saucier, Stephen K. and J. Scott McDonald; one great grandson, Kaleb McDonald.
