John was an accomplished musician, singing in church choirs for over 50 years, finally at St. Stephens United Methodist Church. He was also a long-time member of the de Profundis a capella men’s ensemble. John enjoyed the game of bridge and regularly pursued that interest at the Duke City Bridge Club. Finally, he was an avid traveler, visiting exotic places both in the U.S. and abroad. John is survived by Suzanne Berry, his wife of 58 years; two children: Kimberly Berry of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Kristy Kistner of Harriman, Tennessee; and two sisters: Irene Yeager of Louisville, Kentucky and Lucy Grosz of Columbus, Ohio.
