Graveside services for John Lofton Watson, age 68, will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Spann Methodist Church Cemetery, Ward, SC at 3:30 pm. Bland Funeral Home, Johnston, is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Watson, a native of Johnston, died Saturday, May 18, 2013. He was a son of the late James D. Jr. and Susan Lofton Watson. Mr. Watson was a graduate of the first graduating class of Strom Thurmond High School in 1962, was a graduate of the Citadel, and was a former US Air Force Officer having served during the Vietnam Era. At the time of his death, Mr. Watson was living in Greenville . He was a self-employed Real Estate Broker and was a member of Johnston United Methodist Church. Survivors include a number of cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, James Daniel Watson, III and Joseph Thomas Watson. Tags: 1966
