John Donnelly Warner, 82, of Longwood, Fla., passed away January 4, 2020. He was born August 6, 1937 in Berlin, Germany to the late Dewitt T. and Lattra D. Warner.
He graduated in 1959 from The Citadel with a BS degree and earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina. John had a sales career with Browning Manufacturing for 30 plus years. He was a member of Orange Park United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Good Samaritan Ministry.
John was a member of the Southern California DeMolay. He actively coached his children and grandchildren in basketball, baseball and softball, was an avid tennis player, bridge player and basketball player.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Warner Young.
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth S. Warner; children, Lisa Lozano, John “Jack” Warner and Martha Warner; grandchildren, Tyler Tucker, Luke Tucker, Megan Medina, Shea Medina, Isabella Lozano, Julianne Lozano, Elliott Warner, Spencer Warner and Phoebe Warner; nephew, Alex Young and a host of friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to VITAS Hospice of Jacksonville.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Aaron and Burney Bivens Funeral Home, 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073, (904) 264-1233, with Chaplain Mike Cannady and Dr. Al Eads, Jr., CLP Charleston Atlantic Presbytery officiating. Burial immediately following the service at Magnolia Cemetery, 1040 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
