Jody Jordan Davis, age 68, of Charleston, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 24, 2021. She was born December 18, 1952, in Charleston, SC, to Fred and Davette Jordan. She is pre-deceased by her brother, George Jordan. She is survived by her husband, Thurman R. (Rusty) Davis; her daughters, Jordan Renna and Lindsay McManus; her two sons-in-law, Stephen Renna and Brian McManus; her granddaughter, Vivian Renna; and her sister, Donna Taylor. Jody was a graduate of Middleton High School and Newberry College. She received her Master’s degree from The Citadel. She retired form Charleston County Schools as Guidance Director, having worked at Middleton and North Charleston High Schools. Jody was a fierce advocate for her students and was always willing to listen to them and support them in every way. What she loved most was the Lord, her family, her friends, traveling, reading, music, and dancing. Jody was literally dancing and holding court on her last day… enjoying life and laughter. The Lord called her home, and she is now at peace and reunited with her family in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you donate to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease or the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Stuhr’s West Ashley Chapel. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00.
