Jerry Wittmann Weise, 86, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 19, 2022. Her service will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022, at St. Andrews Church, 440 Whilden Street at 3 pm. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Jerry was born May 9, 1936, in Mobile, Alabama, daughter of the late Charles Wittmann and Marion Walton Wittman. She graduated from Southwestern at Memphis with a bachelors degree in mathematics and gained her masters in education from The Citadel. She worked in the Charleston County school system and retired as a mathematics teacher from Wando High School. Jerry’s love of gardening and education was expressed through her involvement and leadership in the Garden Club of South Carolina, the Coastal Carolina Camellia Society, and Alpha Delta Kappa. She will be remembered by her family and friends for the way she shared her love with them.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Weise Fuller of Bonaire, GA and David Robert Weise of Hemet, CA; her sister, Sarah Cornelia Petty of Crestview, FL; and five grandchildren, Benjamin Philip Weise (Laura), Jessica Anne Weise, Sarah Ruth Weise, Matthew David Fuller (Angel Harris), and Elizabeth Anne Fuller. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Allan Weise.
