James Coit Graves, II, of Greensboro, NC, died peacefully November 23, 2012 with loving family at his side. Jim, as he was known to family and friends, was born February 17, 1952 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Betty Camp Graves and the late James Coit Graves. He is survived by his loving wife Freida Graves, and his two daughters Allison Graves Kretlow (Phillip), Ruth Graves (Curtis), his step-son Jonathan Knight (Sara) and their son Corbin Knight. Jim graduated from Sanford Central high school in 1970, and from the Citadel in 1974, where he majored in business and history. During his college years, Jim fell in love with the city of Charleston, which through the years became his favorite place to vacation. He was a lover of art and a collector of antique weaponry. Jim enjoyed a long tenure with Lincoln Financial, where he was a top producer for many years. To honor Jim’s final request, no formal services will be held. Condolences may be expressed online. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family is being served by Forbis & Dick N. Elm Chapel. Tags: 1974
