Jackie Lee Mulligan, Jr. (Jack), 58, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024. Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle Aderholt-Mulligan and his sons, Jackie Lee Mulligan III (Tripp) and Addison Trent Mulligan (Trent). He is also survived by his sister, Abby Mulligan Clower of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Lee Mulligan, Sr.; his mother, Doris Rardin Mulligan, and his faithful dog, Brownie Ace Mulligan (Ace).
Jack was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he attended Carmel Academy and Charlotte Country Day School (1972-1985). He was highly involved with the Country Day Buccaneer Soccer team and went on to play soccer at The Citadel, where he graduated in 1989. Following graduation, he served our nations country in the Army as an Individual Ready Reservist until he was honorably discharged in June 1998.
Throughout his life, Jack was fervently involved with his family and the greater Charlotte community. He and his wife were members of Myers Park United Methodist Church, where Jack served as an usher, church basketball coach, and confirmation counselor. As a young man, Jack became a Master Mason of the Lodge. Without cease, Jack constantly imbedded himself in the athletic coaching of his children, Tripp and Trent. The ultimate sports fan, he would tirelessly travel from basketball courts to baseball fields, and from swim meets to football games where he considered himself a sideline coach to many!
For many years, Jack worked alongside his father, Jackie Lee Mulligan, Sr., in the textile industry at Fisher, Walker, Mulligan Inc. Over the last two decades, Jack had enjoyed working at Green Resource Landscape Supply Business where he had been a leader on the sales team creating and maintaining strong customer relationships.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held 2:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Myers Park United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. James Howell officiating.
