Herbert Jones “Herb” Linder, Jr., 91, of Waynesboro, Va., passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 in Fishersville, VA.
Herb was born on November 6, 1932 in Beufort, SC. He was the son of the late Herbert J. Linder, Sr. and Beulah Hickman Linder.
Herb earned a BS in Business Management from the Citadel, and enjoyed a full life in sales and sales management. He served in the US Army during the Korean conflict, and was a member of both the Etowah Lions Club and the Elks Club of Hendersonville.
Surviving are his wife, Elmetta Fletcher Linder; son, Fletcher Linder and wife Jennifer Coffman Linder, grandchildren: Austen and Gabrielle; and a sister, Kathleen Padgett.
Private burial will take place in Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher.
