Henry Babilon was a man that was well loved by anyone he met, but no one loved him more than his wife, 3 daughters, grandchildren, dogs, and grand dogs. He was born on July 20, 1960 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Henry and Mary Ellen Babilon and was the eldest of 5 siblings: Mike, Mary, Robert, John, and Jennifer.
In his early years, Henry was a proud class 1982 graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina where he continued to serve in the United States Air Force. Henry then furthered his education at UMKC where he majored in law, passing the Bar in 2002.
Henry had a love and passion for many things in life. He was a devoted husband, proud father of 3 daughters, many dogs and Grandpa to 3 wonderful children and 2 dogs. Henry expressed his love and appreciation for his family by being a very hands on and involved paternal figure to his family. Henry spent his days being handy around the house, relaxing with his wife while watching TV and sharing treats with his dogs. When his grandchildren would come to visit, he spent hours playing catch, playing dolls, creating wooden structures, and most of all, napping into the evening snuggled by his grandchildren. Henry enjoyed spoiling the granddogs while their parents were away on vacation with many treats and lots of pets.
Henry was a special soul who never made an enemy and had a way of making everything feel like it was going to be just fine. This loss is one that will be felt by many, but mostly his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Stacie Babilon, eldest daughter Carmel Pierce, middle daughter, Salome Babilon, youngest daughter (1992-2022) KayLee Babilon-Sanders, many beloved dogs but most recently Walter and Winnie. Grandchildren, Willow (Bean) Pierce, Matthew (Sprout) Pierce, and Emma (Jean) Pierce, grand dogs, Fae, Bub, Kopper, Keith, Kaia and Kahn.
Henry was an advocate for all animals but his heart was with dogs. In honor of Henry’s passing, please consider donating to the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter in Henry’s name.
