George E. Kehoe Jr., 91, passed away July 15, 2015 in Highlands, NC at 91 years old, after a long illness. Born April 17, 1924 in Mt Vernon, NY to George Sr. and Gladys Kehoe and spent most of his growing years in Atlanta. He then attended the Citadel, a military college in Charleston, SC from 1941-43 until he was drafted into the army. He served in the German campaign of the 101st Airborne Division during WWII. In 1946 he attended Emory University in Atlanta earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Dr. of Law Degree. During this time he married Ruby Dawes of Atlanta, his wife of 54 years. George went to work for Federated Insurance of Owatonna where he retired in 1988 as Second Vice President and Corporate Council in charge of all legal matters. He was also involved in Owatonna politics serving 3 terms on city council and Mayor from 1984 -1988. George was a member of the State Bar Association in MN, GA and VA as well as member of the Owatonna Shrine, Elks, Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, Associated Church, a Presbyterian Elder and 35 years executive council to The Boys Scouts of America. George is survived by his current wife, Sandy Simons of Atlanta, son Clint (Debra Bjorkman Kehoe) of Eden Prairie, Daughter Lynn Nystedt (Larry) of Apollo Beach, FL. and Sister Deborah Wade of Tampa FL. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Ruby. Burial was in Atlanta at Arlington Memorial Cemetery July,19
