Glenn “Gregg” Smith, age 69, of Conway, husband of Mary Margaret Wilson Smith passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. Mr. Smith was born October 29, 1948 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Glen C. and Tina Huggins Smith. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and served on the very First Horry County Council and as past president of the International Sertoma Foundation. Mr. Smith was a very proud Citadel graduate. He will be remembered for his lively sense of humor, his love of a good story and hand-written note. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his son Hammond Oliver Smith. Surviving in addition to his wife of Conway are: a daughter-in-law Alexandra Smith and two grandchildren Ryker and Easton Smith of Atlanta Georgia, and many extended family members and very dear life-long friends. Also, his beloved pets Chili and Sugar. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
