DUNELLEN — Francis Chester Zarnowski, 47, died Friday (August 23, 2002) at Roosevelt Care Center, Edison. Born in Somerville, March 15, 1955, he lived in South Carolina for 10 years before moving to Dunellen and living there for several years. He attended the Citadel in Charleston, S.C., on a football scholarship where he graduates in 1977 with a BS in business. He coached Pop Warner football and taught evening school at vocational school both in South Carolina. He also was the president of the CYU in Dunellen. Formerly majored in football, track and wrestling. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene (Rostkowski) Zarnowski in 1996. Surviving are his father, Chester Zarnowski of Dunellen; his two sons, Donald and Nicholas of South Carolina; and his two brothers, Alfred of North Plainfield and Chester of Bangor, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Church, Dunellen. Burial will be in the Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
