Elizabeth Belser Arnot Bailey, 49, of the Isle of Palms, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 20, 1962, in Columbia, SC, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Belser Arnot and George William Arnot, Jr. She was married to William “Bill” Howard Bailey for 22 years. Elizabeth was a loving wife, daughter and granddaughter. She was especially devoted to her late grandmother, Elizabeth Belser Fuller. Elizabeth was a graduate of Hammond School and Clemson University, and received her MBA degree from The Citadel. She was a former member of Trinity Cathedral in Columbia where she grew up and was married, and where she had been a pre-school Sunday school teacher. Elizabeth had wonderful memories of her many summers at Camp Illahee in Brevard, NC, where she was a camper and a counselor. After marrying and moving to the Isle of Palms, she and her husband, Bill, worked side by side as successful business partners of Barter Brokers International where she served as CFO. She enjoyed life near the ocean and was fond of boating and gardening. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and especially for her dog Grady. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her husband, William Howard Bailey of the Isle of Palms, a brother, George William Arnot, III, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and many cousins, all of whom will miss her greatly. The family wishes to thank Elizabeth’s dear friends for their support and prayers over the past months, and the nurses at East Cooper Hospital for their loving and expert care. A celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make A Wish Foundation of South Carolina (225 S.
