Edward “Ed” DeLamater, age 81, of Eatonton passed away May 28, 2015. Services will be conducted, 11 AM, Tuesday Morning, June 2, in the Chapel of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church, Greensboro with Father Roberto Herrera officiating.
Mr. DeLamater was a native of Rutheford, New Jersey who moved to Eatonton in 2011 with his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Joan DeLamater. He was the son of the late Edward R. and Rae Stalb DeLamater. Mr. DeLamater served his country in the Army where he was a member of the 82nd Airborn division and an Army Ranger. He also achieved the rank of 1st Leutienant. Mr. DeLamater loved walking his dog, exercising, and yard work. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Christ our King and Savior Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Joan DeLamater of Eatonton; Son James DeLamater of Eatonton; Daughters Tammy DeLamater and Partner Linda Campbell of Canton, Ga, and Laurie DeLamater of Flanders, NJ.; Sister Adelaide Mantarian of Irvington, NY; Grandchildren Ashley DeLamater of Kent OH, Annalice (Nate) Molnar of Streetsboro, OH, Danielle Perkosky of Flanders, NJ, and Thomas Perkosky of Flandres, NJ; Great Grandchild Tripp Nathan Wilson of Marietta, Ga.
