Damon grew up in Atlanta where he attended The Lovett School and graduated from Brandon Hall. He played tennis at The Citadel in South Carolina. He graduated from Troy State University in Alabama, where he was the assistant coach for the women’s tennis team. Santa Monica, CA, had been his home for the past five years. There he was employed as a pilot by Action Air Express and as a tennis instructor. Damon approached life with great gusto. His tennis students adored him.
