Dennis Ray Vincent of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the age of 79.
He was born in Cedartown, Georgia on January 7, 1944, to the late Thomas Julian and Geraldine Vincent. After graduating from The Citadel, he went on to work as a Electrical Engineer for Kimberly-Clark. Dennis was an athlete his entire life and enjoyed all sports, later becoming an avid golfer. His greatest joy was being a grandfather.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy Paul Vincent; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Brock.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of almost 57 years, Marilyn S. Vincent; his adoring daughter, India Vincent (Bill McKinnon); his grandson, Vincent McKinnon; his brother, Gary Vincent (Ruth); his sister, Rebecca Brock; and his sister-in-law, Sandra Vincent.
A memorial service will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Dennis be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
