Clayton Renz Jeck, age 93, of Crystal River FL passed away on February 12, 2026, at home under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice. Clayton was born on June 16t, 1932, in Miami, FL to Lester P Jeck and Adaline Renz Jeck. Clayton graduated High School from the Miami Military Academy and then graduated military college from The Citadel in Charleston NC in
1953. Clayton served in the Army as an MP and was stationed in Germany. He was married on August 31st 1959, in Miami to Janet Cave, the love of his life. Clayton and Jan were married 61 years before Jan’s passing in
2019. Clayton and his best friend and wife Jan were inseparable, they did scuba diving together, fished together, played golf together and traveled all around the world. They enjoyed many cruises together and with
friends. Clayton had so many fond memories of all his great friends from 7 Rivers Country Club which he was a member of from 1980 until it closed. Then he continued playing with his friends at Plantation Country club, playing 4 times a week until the course closed, he was 92 at that time he stopped playing. Clayton enjoyed reading a book a week, playing video games. He had a green thumb like no other and enjoyed his garden and his many exotic trees. He enjoyed making jam from the many various fruits he grew and sharing them with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Clayton was also preceded in death by his wife Janet C Jeck; his sister and brother-in-law Gale and Mark Manfredi; his brother Lester P Jeck Jr.; son-in-law Robert Sirak.
Clayton is survived by his children Gail J Sirak, Billie J Stevens and William Stevens, Clayton R Jeck Jr and his wife Rachel Jeck; grandchildren, Kenneth G Henderson, Jennifer Cerda, Elaine Owens, Nicole Gibson, Gregory Lombardo and Thomas TJ Jeck, 11 great grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.
Whether traveling with family, tending his garden, sharing homemade jams, finishing another good book or teeing off with a friend. Clayton embraced life with gratitude and determination. His presence was steady, his love was faithful, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, Fla.
